The Rural Hill Cemetery Database contains an updated transcription of the cemetery, along with maps and a detailed history of the cemetery itself.
This is the fourth reading of the cemetery, the previous one completed by members of the Northville Genealogical Society in 2003. This project was
carried out from August 2015 to May 2021.
For best results, search the entire database by looking for a surname in the Index. If your desired name is listed, the Index will show where to find further information in one or more of the following database sections:
1. Search by Section: Continue here if the Index indicates the section of the cemetery where your individual is buried.
2. No Marker List: Some of the names on this list have known burial locations, but their graves are unmarked. Other names only appear on this list because their actual burial location in the cemetery is unknown.
3. Disinterment and/or Removed Marker List: Some individuals on this list were originally buried at Rural Hill and later disinterred according to City records. Others had a gravestone at Rural Hill but were never interred there, and the gravestone has since been removed.
